HOW IS YOUR CBD OIL MANUFACTURED?
JoyCanna’s CBD oils are 100% organic and are extracted from whole hemp plants grown on licensed farms in the USA. The plants used to manufacture our products are grown using the most stringent organic and sustainable farming practices. The oil is CO2 extracted to ensure the full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes are not comprised. CO2 extraction is environmentally friendly and non-toxic. It is also considered the most expensive and safest plant extraction method in the world.
DO YOU PERFORM THIRD PARTY TESTING?
Yes! Each batch of our oil is 3rd party lab tested to ensure potency, quality, and consistency.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA?
Scientifically, Hemp and Marijuana are the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa. The major difference is their drastically different genetic profile. Hemp is a long stalked, fibrous plant with barely any flowering buds. Marijuana is a smaller, bushier plant full of flowering buds. The typical marijuana plant has a high amount of THC and a very low amount of CBD. Hemp will typically have a very high amount of CBD and only trace amounts of THC.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING CBD PRODUCTS?
We can’t specifically say, but we do encourage our customers to look at all information available to them including the reviews of other happy consumers and other info found on the internet. The US Food and Drug Administration currently prohibits all manufacturers of dietary supplements from making any claims about the ability of their products to treat specific health conditions. Health claims are only permitted where approved by the FDA and based on accepted clinical trials. Because CBD is relatively new to the market, the lengthy clinical trial period is still in process. We can say that we are incredibly proud of our products and are confident that they can make a difference in your lives!
WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?
All mammals have an Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The ECS produces its own cannabinoids. The system is supplemented when a person consumes cannabinoids from a cannabis plant that bind with the receptors within this system. Receptors run throughout a mammal’s entire body. CB1 receptors are located throughout the brain, central nervous system, connective tissues, gonads, glands, and related organs. CB2 receptors are located throughout the immune system and related organs, like the tissues of the spleen, tonsils, and thymus gland. When there is a deficiency of the ECS, the body may be thrown out of balance, which can result in an array of challenges. Supplementing with CBD is a natural way to assist with these deficiencies thus restoring the system back to a state of homeostasis.
IS CBD LEGAL?
CBD oil is considered to be a food-based product and is legal as long as it contains no to low concentrations of the molecule THC. With the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD can be shipped to every U.S. state.
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION OR A MEDICAL CARD TO ORDER?
No. A medical card or prescription is not needed to place an order.
CAN YOU OVERDOSE ON CBD?
No. CBD is not toxic. Cannabinoid receptors are not located in the areas of the brainstem that control respiration therefore lethal overdoses from Cannabis and cannabinoids do not occur.
WILL I GET HIGH?
No. You will not experience a “high”. The THC content in our products are removed or reduced all the way down to Non-Detectable (ND) levels. There are no psychoactive effects from JoyCanna products.
DOES JOYCANNA CARRY AN ISOLATE PRODUCT?
No. CBD Isolate is purified CBD that has been extracted from the marijuana plant and isolated from all other cannabinoids. JoyCanna offers Broad Spectrum CBD. JoyCanna CBD oils are full of all the cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have therapeutic value. When all these compounds work together - they create what's known as the “entourage effect”. In short, the "entourage effect” is the use of all the compounds in the hemp plant where they all work together for maximum benefits. Because Broad Spectrum CBD contains multiple cannabinoids, it delivers the enhanced benefits of the “entourage effect,” without the THC.
WHAT ARE TERPENES AND FLAVONOIDS?
Flavonoids are the aromatic molecules that give each strain of cannabis a unique smell and flavor. Some flavonoids, like quercetin, luteolin and kaempferol, naturally appear in many different plants. Terpenes appear naturally and abundantly in humans, plants and mammals, often to deter parasites. Similarly to flavonoids, terpenes also emit a smell and flavor.
WILL I FAIL A DRUG SCREENING USING JOYCANNA?
No. There are no detectable levels of THC in our products.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CBD TO REACH THE LONGEST SHELF LIFE?
Storing your CBD products in a dark, cool area will assure there is no loss in potency. Don’t allow them to sit in direct sunlight. If properly stored, CBD products have a shelf life of up to one year.
